Rainy Weather Blues

So the Philippines has been having a downpour of rain for the past week and school suspension has given me (and all other students, of course), one extremely long weekend.
You'd think this is fun.
It really isn't.

Being who I am, I spent an unproductive, draggy weekend. Current status is "cram-all-the-work" and "Do-we-even-have-finals-tomorrow-?" When the weather is this gloomy and you don't exactly have a cuddle buddy (or at least a tub of ice cream and some freshly baked buns), you're bound to get under it.
With things being all hectic and full of pressure, the weather really didn't help alleviate anything. In fact, it made making my life into a music video even easier as I sang my throat out doing a personal rendition of Coldplay's 'The Scientist' at 3 am.
I'm sorry Chris Martin.
Be happy neighbors, I might become famous one day.

Snarky comments aside, I did end up finishing a portion (a tiny one really) of what I had to do. Currently though, I'm wondering whether finals will push through tomorrow because from the looks of it, the rain has no intention of stopping. But then again, this is the Philippines, and the weather can not get as unpredictable as this land can prove. (don't get me wrong, I will study. School is life, and I need to get there even if I have to swim through floodwater)

If anyone from the Philippines ends up reading this (I have no idea how that will happen though), please keep safe. There was a tornado yesterday! (Mother nature is PMS-ing so hard right now. and yes, I am entitled to make this joke. I have a uterus).
Stay away from floodwater, keep dry, wash yourselves if you ever get rainwater on you, drink loads of calamansi extract (not the juice they sell. get real calamansi and squeeze them!!), and just curl up in your beds and take a well-deserved rest.

okay.
that's all.
It's back to work for me.
