About Blog and Author

Serendipitous Living is an appreciation blog that doubles as a reflection mechanism for all the experiences that occur in my life. By putting snippets of my life into blog posts, I get to keep a record of all the events I deemed as memorable, important, or interesting. It's a self-initiated project to get to know myself better as I analyse these special life moments.

I am a Psychology student at De La Salle University, Philippines. Born the year of 1998, I lived my whole life in this country as a foreigner (S. Korean). Growing up in a complex balance of cultural differences and social pressures, I like to think my life is pretty interesting, just as much as everyone else's lives are.
Life can be challenging most of the time. In some moments, it seems like all life really wants to do is put us down, but we should always keep one thought in mind, at all moments:
"Things are only as bad as we make them out to be".
As William Ernest Henley puts it in his poem Invictus, "I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul". We have the potential to be whoever we want to be, and to live our lives however we want to. The power of will and the strength of the soul is what pushes me on, however slow the progress.

This blog is my journal of progressing towards becoming the best version of myself, and through this, if I can reach other people and touch their souls, I know I'm not far from my goal.
